Traditional Hutsul wedding in the Carpathians (photo report)

The wedding lasted two days although in many villages celebrations continue for three full days. On Saturday, the family organized a more modern wedding. The bride wore a traditional white gown and the bridegroom – a suit. However, on Sunday, the villagers donned their colourful Hutsul costumes and danced till dawn.

Mariya and Mykola Moskaliuk have 15 children and 35 grandchildren. This time, they celebrated the marriage of their youngest daughter – 19-year-old Anzhela.

Guests arrived at the wooden house where the bride lives, near Petros Mountain, a peak in Chornohora region.
